what greenlight is
greenlight is a mobile app that makes spontaneous phone calls easier. when you’re free to talk, you set your status to “green” and choose which contact groups get notified. we send those notifications via push or sms.
data & privacy: what we collect
your name and phone number (if you sign up), your phone’s contact list (only if you grant permission), usage activity (e.g., when you go green, who you notify), optional: email address if you join the waitlist
data & privacy: what we don’t collect
we don’t record calls, we don’t sell your data, we don’t track your location
how we use your data
to notify selected contacts when you go green, to help you see which of your contacts use greenlight, to improve the product (e.g., track feature usage, not you)
third parties
we use third-party tools (like firebase or twilio) to power notifications and basic app functionality. they only get the minimum necessary data to provide their service.
push notifications & sms
if you opt in, we’ll send you push and/or sms notifications when: someone in your group goes green, someone calls you back, greenlight has relevant product updates. by using greenlight and opting in, you consent to receive these messages. standard text and data rates may apply.
your choices & controls
you can revoke contact or notification permissions anytime in your phone settings. you can delete your account by contacting us at john.docal@gmail.com. you can unsubscribe from emails via the unsubscribe link or just reply and ask us to remove you
age requirements
you must be at least 13 years old to use greenlight. by signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
acceptable use
don’t spam, harass, impersonate people, or misuse greenlight. we reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules or cause harm.
updates
we may update these terms and policies from time to time. if we do, we’ll notify you. continuing to use greenlight means you accept the latest version.
